About the Advisors
Lead Advisor: Dr. Lisa Abrams

Dr. Abram's hobbies include working out, reading, working on jigsaw puzzles, and visiting National Parks. She holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and a masters in Mechanical Engineering, and is a mom to a middle school son. She joined TBP because it’s the only national organization open to any major in engineering that everyone recognizes. Besides being heavily involved in TBP, she is also an active member of the American Society for Engineering Education. Advisor (Events Coordinator): Mark Ruegsegger, PhD, PE

- Month/Year of graduation - Recieved PhD in BME in 2001
Dr. Ruegsegger's hobbies include soccer, yardwork, reading, and napping in his hammock. He has an annual college soccer award named after him, called the “Mark Ruegsegger Love of the Game award.” Besides TBP, he is also the faculty advisor for Biomedical Engineering Society and Order of the Engineer. He joined TBP because it provides great opportunities to network, and also to meet amazing people. His favorite TBP event is the BM5K.
